June
20, 2011 Club Meeting Review Just Photos
A regular meeting
of Space Center Rotary was called to order by President David
Coney. Jack Bacon led members in song. The Pledge
of Allegiance to the U.S. Flag was led by Dick Kidder, Lamar
Bowles conducted the Four Way Test, and Dennis Dillon gave the
prayer. Visitors and guests were introduced by Rena
Dietrich.
As
the year drew to a close, a thankful President Coney discussed
the Rotary traditions of human compassion and doing the right
thing. He reviewed the rich culture of Space Center
Rotary Club, recognized past Presidents, and recapped the service projects
undertaken by our club in the past year. He
presented pottery hand made by his Mother to many of
the Club members, giving each one a big hug, and expressing thanks for
their contributions to Rotary. Members recognized included Sheryl
Berg, Scott Rainey, Marilyn Musial, Kippy Caraway, Bill
Lowes, Bill Geissler (absent), Mike Duckworth, John Nugent
(absent), Phil Sandlin, Bob Taggert, Rae de Castro (absent),
John Branch, Kathy Dooley, Mike Dennard, Bob Mitchell, John
Lee, District Governor Elect Chris Schneider, past District
Governor and past Club President Suzi Howe, past President
Jon McKinnie (absent), and past President Billy Smith.
He then thanked everyone for their individual commitment to
Rotary, and adjourned the meeting.
