Update on Floyd
Boze email received Sunday
March 6
Ann, his daughter,
writes: We are still in the hospital. Dad made it
through the surgery well and went to rehab. Since then,
he has had pneumonia and they suspect at least 2
strokes. The drs are not optimistic about any
recovery. At this time, he processes infomation and can
respond by following simple commands. He has trouble
keeping his eyes open. I am meeting again with all his
drs on Tuesday. If he still needs to be hooked up to
IVs, we'll probably go to a skilled nursing rehab facility
until he is no longer in need of IVs. If he doesn't need
anything, we will probably go home with home health coming
in. He really can't communicate back to us except to
answer us by shaking his head. I am so glad he got to
come to Rotary on his 93rd birthday
and tell everyone
how much they all have meant to him. Please ask that our
family be lifted up in prayer through this difficult
time. Thanks, Ann
Please keep Floyd and his
family in your prayers Jon R. McKinnie Rotary Club of

Pictures That Warms The
Heart
As
noted in
the February 21 issue of the Blastoff, The Club sent out
16 Rotarians, one spouse and one Rotary friend, Valentines
Day to ensure that seniors in four nursing homes
would have a GREAT VALENTINES day. 300 Roses with
a Rotary tag attached to each rose (Wishing you a Happy Valentine’s
Day from your friends at Space Center Rotary) were
given out. The pictures were taken by Pam Culpepper
Cronk and were shown at the February 28 Club meeting.
They can also be viewed here.
What is
ROAR? Probably most of us know little about an
organization called Rotarians Of Amateur Radio. Club member
and President of the Club 2005-06 has been a member for about
10 years and sent this email: Hi... I am sending
an attachment you might be interested in having. This is
a newsletter from ROAR (Radio Amateur Operators of
Rotary). We have been using amateur radio for many years
to further Rotary. YIRS, Junius (JB) Fox

newsletter contains good information about ROAR and can be
